Went up to JMK BMW in Jersey. He had the exact car i would want, 545i w/ sports package, nav, stereo, winter package etc. Car drove very rock solid. I'm used to a benz so this was a major change, two totally diff. cars. Power was pretty good as well. The Active steering wasn't a problem either, i adapted to the car in minutes. Also, i'm very confused on what's confusing people with the I-drive, i really liked it, very straightforward, and the menu's are sweet. I got some initial lease numbers.

On a brand new '05 545i with Nav, sports Pack., and winter, he quoted me $780 a month , with 0 down and $2500 out of pocket for intial payment and fees. This was 36 months and 12K miles. Sound high or about right?? I mean i didn't haggle yet either.

BTW, i took the Lexus LS 430 for a spin right after, yea yet again nothing like the bmw, but it just felt soo much like my benz i was turned off. very nice car though and also very good lease numbers as well. He wanted $785 a month, 0 down for 42 months. I have no idea what direction i'm goin to go yet though

For his opening offer that is about right. It reflects the low money factor on the car. It sounds like a $64K car so knock off about 4gs from the selling price and and you should be around or under $700. Thats the same as MY06 330i or 530i.

Can you swing Euro Del? I signed my contract back in March with the higher residual value and low MF on a 545 with heated seats only for about $1500 over Euro invoice. Put $3500 down on a 12K/36 months and my all up price including taxes is $510 per month. The diff. now maybe the lower residual their using and the possibility that 545 production maybe tappering off.

If you can swing Euro Delv, it can be a fun little trip and save you boat loads on either a purchase or a lease.

I don't think you are going to get it down to $700, and certainly not less, without any cap reduction. $2500 out of pocket is 1st payment, bank fee, deposit possibly, dealer fees, etc..

do the calcuations... maybe you can save another $50-60 a month or so... that's about it at that rate. depending on the car of course.
