Today I received an e-mail from my dealer telling me that the option to extend the standard 50K full maintenance to 100K will be increasing in the very near future, possibly by $500. When I purchased the car 2 months ago the finance manager told me that I would have the option to extend this prior to the car hitting 50,000 miles for $1495. The dealer is now telling me that it is $1395 + tax.
I will probably do this within the next few days but I am skeptical on if in fact they are raising the cost and curious whether anyone else received a similar mail.
Thanks
Randy

so its 1195.00 to extend the maintanec. how about the full warranty extension to 100k anyone know the price and years covered thanks
this is BMW factory warranty, make sure what you get quote is comparing apple to apple, since the dealer can also offer you warranty by a 3rd party.
The extended maintainance was another $1100 for me.
Keep in mind those are the figures I got quote from when I bought the car new last summer, not sure if it will be more or not if you buy it separately from new car purchase.

KCHAN where in the Bay Area did you get a quote for the factory warranty and maintainance. Would like to go there.

Be careful when purchasing factory extended warranty and service...I've had mine for a while now (currently at 94K miles) and every time I go in for service, they hassle me and try to say the extended warranty does not cover certain things, such as software updates, etc...My car is currently at Bob Smith BMW in Calabasas and they wanted a $125 deposit for a software upgrade to fix my eyebrows. What a joke!!!
