My car has almost 45k miles, and i'm looking for extended warranty. I just came from my bmw dealer and he offered me additional 3 years and 36k miles with platinum coverage for $3459 with 0% on 18 months.
Since i bought my '08 550i used, he said that this plan is better than cpo. The only exclusions from coverage would be:
Brake linings, brake drums and rotors, disc brake pads, standard transmission clutch components, air bags, solar powered devices, hinges, glass, lenses, sealed beams, body parts and/or panels, trim, moldings, door handles, lock cylinders, tires, wheels, batteries, light bulbs, upholstery, paint, bright metal, freeze plugs, heater and radiator hoses, exhaust system, shock absorbers, audio, security or other systems not factory installed, work such as front-end alignment or wheel balancing, constant velocity joint boots, safety restraint systems, cellular phones, electronic transmitting devices (except for those specifically listed under silver, gold, or gold plus coverage), radar detectors, appliances, near object avoidance systems and all laser radar cruise control components, vinyl and convertible tops.
What do you think guys???
Thanks a lot!!!

So they are letting you finance this warranty for 18 months at 0%? That's like $192.00 a month. I'd say its a pretty good deal, considering the exclusions.
Offer them $3000.00 with the financing see what they say. I'm sure there is room to work with on that price.
Looks good to me though, in any case.

My SA recommended Mercury for extended warranties. I have bought two from them; one for my 2006 530I for $2200 zero deductable and the iDrive is covered for 5 years 75,000 miles. Another for my daughters 2007 328I for $1900 zero deductable no iDrive for 5 years 100,000 miles. Email Damien Trombetta at damien.Trombetta@alliedsolutions.net. Good luck.
