I'm having trouble with the dealer and BMW consumer relations agreeing to replace my 545i's now very noisy Dunlops (at 12k, but 5k was on winter tires). They are trying to send me to Dunlop with the claim. I'm really frustrated. When I buy a $64k car I should not have to put up with this!!!

Any good advise or sugestions would be appreciated.

Did you show the dealer all the different threads here where we got BMW to replace them? Did the dealer open a PUMA case with BMW?

Yes, I have told them that many owners experience the same issues with the tires and that many examples are posted on this site. I also said that these issues were usually handled by setting up PUMA cases and replacement covered by BMW dealers 100%. Their reply is that tires warranty is separate from vehicle's warranty, etc..... Consumer relations acts like I am the first one to call with this issue. So frustrating!

Goto another dealer and dont ever go back to this dealer... Tell them you're sorry for giving them your business!

I'll be talking to the dealership's general manager on Monday. If that results in no progress, I'll change my servicing dealer.

Exactly. If they aren't willing to open their eyes and see that you've spelled out the entire process for them, then they're not worth your business.

Clearly the line they're feeding you is the standard line that shows they're not willing to even try to go the extra mile for you. Vote with your wallet and get the hell away from there!

I took mine in yesterday; my service advisor looked at the sidewall to confirm the early generation Dunlops; and, without me basically saying anything, he said: "We'll have a new set of tires installed by the end of the day."

That was pretty cool. Old tires had 10k on them.

Insist that they place a PUMA case. My dealer didn't give it a second thought after I printed out. Also mention that you'll be complaining to BMWNA for their lack of interest in the matter and that you'll be taking your business elsewhere.
