Hey guys, I got my seals replaced and I still get squeaks and creaks at slow speeds and goind up drive ways, basically any body flex. It's been at the dealer for more than 6 attempts to fix it. At what point is it a "lemon"...need help

i doubt if squeaking would fall under lemon laws. they are typically reserved for mechanical problems or things that would be considered safety or functional issues rather than squeaks and rattles.

any suggestions on how about to resolve the issue? It gets very annoying in 1 hour traffic commutes. it's a simple seal, can't they get it right? Turns out my rear seats squeaks too. Sit and get up..squeaks. Yup, already tried conditioning the leather

I had my car back yesterday and they fixed the door seal by lubricating it with some kind of lubricant. So far, so good. Carbaflow is out of question for us because it's too expensive. I think give Amor All a try to see out it goes.

Definately not Armor All - long term effects are not good.

I believe that you can NOT use the Carbaflow on the new door seals!

I had one minor squeek which popped up at about 15k. I had the new door seals installed and have not had any problems.

I can understand your situation. I hate sqeeks and rattles, which I have virtually none with this car. It is achievable and maybe they just need to put in a new set of seals or maybe they did not install them correctly to begin with.

Oh man, you had some bad luck

Don't give up! They have to solve the problem!

Is there an other dealer in your area? Go to talk with them.

Can anyone recommend a different dealer in the O.C. area that has fixed squeaks and creaks properly with success. I've been going to Crevier, where I bought the car.

Are you sure they actually replaced the seals? I read my530i's post about getting his lubricated and it seems some dealers are still doing that rather than replacing them. Unless of course my530i does have the new seals and they are still having to be lubricated!

Well, I'll have another 20K miles to go before I sell my car for 550i, and I'll fix the squeaking problem using some simple solutions as much as I can rather than bring in the car to the dealer.

I had this problem but after changing the door seals to the new ones (same artnr but with a yellow dot) it is gone for good.
