MIAMI 5 11-12-2006 10:15 PM

Im going to the dealer very soon and was just curious what other members consider a "don't think twice about it" discount on a 07 550i at this time of year right before the face lift. Im in the S. Florida area and the competition is good.

Hmmm, so which direction are you headed? Sell the current '07 530i and go another '07 530i at a fantastic MF or go for the '06 550i? It would seem that you will not be remaining in your current 530i. I guess you already know that the MF factor being offered is for the '06 525i and 530i and not 550i?

I'm in Hollywood Florida and about to order a 550i (waiting for the refresh) at Vista Motors, Coconut Creek.
Any negotiation suggestions please!?

Try to speak with the Fleet Manager. You'll usually do better with him/her than any Salesman.

I think I'm crap out of luck on this question, but is there anything I can do with regards to getting a lower rate? Since I was literally part of the first '07 orders placed, the MF was .00250. I put $0 down and incorporated my taxes into my monthly payment, as I always do. I am paying $884/month and I'd have to believe that with a rate of .00050, I'd be looking at $650/month, if not less. That's a pretty serious difference and makes me want to puke, just thinking about it.

Any idea how I can start over, if at all possible?

Can you call them up and try to renegotiate??

vegastrashed 11-14-2006 12:38 PM

There are only two options that I know of.

1. Buy out the lease and sell the car.
2. Find someone to take over your lease.

Other than that, I highly doubt that BMWFS will renegotiate your lease.

you should crunch some numbers on trading it in...if you have a few years left on your lease it will be 2400.00/year on the delta between your rate and the bargain rate being offered now. If youre 4 years left and less on backwards trading it in sometimes you can roll the gap into your new lease...albiet, thats a lot of work for what might ulimately get you back into the same payment because of the new amount rolled into your purchase price.

unfortunately, with a lease there are very few "pretty" options...and they get much uglier the less you fork out on the down payment. more car for less payment almost always equals no equity during the entire lease
