Well i don't need the space because i don't have a family... I'm 26 years old. though i still prefer the look of the 5 series...
i know that within the next couple of months we will start seeing the 3 series all over the place, there will be a bunch of them on the road. Just like the previous model. And I think that the 5 series is more exclusive.
You don't see as many on the road.

I was in the market for an '06 3 series and I ended up with an '05 5 series. 3 series are a dime a dozen. Don't get me wrong, I think the 3's look great. I was even looking into an M3, but it's still a 3 and the new 3 body is out. So, I ended up getting a 545. I know if I got the 3, everytime I'd see a 5, I'd be wishing I got the 5 instead.

NOoo serious!! Try out the cars back to back... drive it... closly examine the interiors then. Try locking and unlocking the cars (*listen*)... then knock on the sheet metal of the E60 vs E90... then come back and tell me what you think.

Tough decision but personally I would go with the E60. I've driven 3 series cars in the past and I've had a blast driving them, but MikeJ is right, they're a dime a dozen. When you've crossed the line over to a 5 series there's no turning back. But it's all about personal preference. Hey a bimmer is a bimmer, either way you can't really go wrong, both are great cars. Sounds to me like you are hooked to the way the E60 looks. Trust me it's worth the wait

But boy would I love to have the best of both worlds. I'm looking for a 3er as an extra car. If I can afford it maybe a second hand M3

Good luck

Ya guys the price is the same...
It's actually about 15$ more a month for a 330i. But we're talking about a fully fully loaded 330i with the idrive and navi... The whole 9 yards.
Same goes for the 525i though it;s fully loaded...
Now I drove both cars and the drive of the 3 series is very nice. It's quicker then the 525i. Bu I find the car too small and the materials to be a bit cheaper. And yes the beeping sound when you lock the car on the 5 series is great :-) ...
I just hope I will be satisfied with the speed of the 525i and that it will be worth the wait...
And i'm sure i'll be biting my nails when the 3 series coupe comes out and I will be in a 4 door 330i.
I personally think that I should go with the 5 series I just wanted to hear your input and if I was making the right decision.
