I know the cost of the vehicle has gone up but selection for exactly what I want is sparse. May consider leasing a 2009 but cant determine if the leasing numbers are better or worse for the beginning of a model year vs. the end of a model year. Only leasing rates I see are for MY 09 unless I am really blind.

I guess they are discouraging leasing and trying to get people to buy.

Well, they've discourgaged me, they want to replace my $600 a month lease for my 530xi with a brand new shiney $780 a month lease. I've gotta cut back, my girls college years are only 10 years away. I will try and buy my lease out or perhaps extend the current lease. Sure will miss my 5 series but times are tough
