cas (or should I say "caps"), welcome!

I did a Performance Center delivery back in April of 2004. You are correct that it is a wonderful experience. It's one of those "best kept secrets" that very few people actually know about.

Another member here, CRRobert, is scheduled to pick his car up there in November. I'm sure his anticipation level is escalating with each passing day!

Enjoy your car and the forums!

(I'll let someone else handle the caps issue... )

The wait is starting to become unbearable but i am in the home stretch. I had my eye on getting one back in April . My only consilation is that I will join some of my fellow comrades at the So Cal meet and this forum.

Rudy, cas, do you think that they will let you attach a video camera via a headrest mount to the car so I can get of video of the track time.???

Welcome cas.

I don't think it'll be worth it. First of all, track time for the PC delivery isn't that extensive. Sure you'll have a little practice performing some panic stops, accident avoidance, and skidpad techniques but you won't have much time to be fiddling with a camera. It won't hurt to ask though -- you may be better off having someone else video tape you from outside the car. Since you're allowed a guest (I assume you're bringing someone with you, right?) you might want to have them tape while you drive and then you can tape while they drive.

Remember, the goal of the track time during the PC delivery is to demonstrate how much further you can push the car (or how much further than the average driver ever tries) and to demonstrate the best techniques for staying safe and avoiding accidents. If you're looking for extensive track time, you'll need to enroll in one of the other programs they offer there.
