My car was at the dealer overnight on Tuesday and despite complaining about every Idrive problem I could think of that could pertain to my car with the software version I had, the dealer said they could not reproduce the problems so they didnt do anything (they changed the oil, changed mycrofilter, etc) I noticed though that my accept screen times out after 10 secs or so after starting the car, which was never the case. Do you guys think they just updaded the software just because its been over a year since my last update? There is no mention of this in the final report my SA gave me.

BMW won't install a software update without a demonstrable problem. So, if they updated, then it would have to be because they found an iDrive problem or just got confused. But, who knows? I would think that you would notice some difference, other than what you mentioned, if it was updated.

I would call the dealer and ask them if they did an upgrade. It is important to know exact version in your car so that you can deal with issues that may arise in the future.

Well I also noticed that some of the car settings I had before were reset.
