I have always gotten a loaner (and it has been a BMW), even from a dealer I did not buy the car from. I do have to make an appointment in advance, and then I call up before I go to the dealer to make sure they are going to have the loaner available. The thing I do different, though, is because I start work very early, I always drop my car off in the late afternoon or early evening at the dealer. That way, I take the loaner home, go to work the next day, and then go by the dealer after work to pick up my car. I find this much more relaxed than fighting the morning drop off crowd. When I go in the afternoon to drop my car off, the service lines are usually empty, and my SA is always available to chat about things.

That's a good idea, I will try to drop off at the dealer in the evening.... Thanks again for all the input!

yes BMW dealer offers loaner car. and most of them are free, especially if your car still warranty. If they will fix your car same day, they will not give you a loaner car.

I experienced the same. I took my car for inspection to a dealer different than the dealer i purchased my car from and no loaner was offered.

I am wearing same shoes as you
