When they show up... a few weeks ago I wanted to test drive a BMW for the first time. Walked into MV BMW, ignored by everyone. Asked the receptionist I needed to see a sales guy, was told one would come when available. I must have sat at a table for 45 minutes, further ignored. I've found that organizations that are incompetent in one area are generally incompetent in all areas, from sales to service to the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Excellence is an attitude, not a skill.

When I was shopping for my 545i in January I went to Stevens Creek and had the same experience...waited a while for a sales person...went to receptionist...waited some more...went to receptionist again...waited some more...left. I didn't feel like begging them to take my money...

Absolutely, blow them off...What ever happened to respect for the customer. If I were the GM of that dealer I would try hard to instill values of doing what is best to for the customer, develop a relationship, it leads to repeat bus. and referrals. Unfortunately that is not the way it works all too often.

Hi,

Does anyone in South Bay Area know which dealer is courteous? I had my car in for transmission shifting problem and is treated like hell. Stevens Creek BMW.

i've been seriously shopping for a 2006 530 the last couple of weeks. Been to SC, MV, Frem, and PP. I've had a pretty good experience at all places. Ask for Euro Del person and helped right away. They do their number calculations (looking for 530 w/sport, PP, Nav, and fold down seats, Euro Deliv) and they give me a price $3,000 over invoice up to MSRP. So far 3 of 4 willing to go for $1,500 invoice. I'm thinking of pulling the trigger tomorrow at SC (only because I like that fleet mgr the best).

What do you all think?

I just bought my car at Peter Pan and it was a good experience. Also just brought the car in to have a wood gear selector put on and they were very courteous and efficient and they gave me a loaner for the day.
