I wish I could remember where I saw it, but it was very expensive for the extended warranty. Just throw $100 or so every month into an account you aren't going to touch. If you need a repair, you have the money and if you don't you have some mad money your wife won't know about.

I have both the extended warranty and extended service. I recall they were about 2K each. Believe me you don't want to own a late model BMW without a warranty.
My warranty has a $50 deductible and when my '04 needed a new auto tranny last spring it saved me from paying for a $7500+ repair. If you are going to get one, get the one from BMW. No hassles, to problems and always genuine parts.
