I am using pictures here of cars that i do not own, but i hope the owners are not offended.

There is a difference between the internet ones for 50-70 EUR and the ones from BMW for 140 EUR. Have a look at the bottom pics:

The ones from the internet is a bit more aggressive (top and bottom are ebay, middle is OEM -> you can see how the blades stick out on the ebay one), wheras the ones from BMW has more a decent look, so before you buy a set, decide for yourself which one you want. I myself bought a set from the internet, and then i decided to go for the OEM ones.

Hi, I had this pointed out when I posted when I'd just installed my grill...i'm never surprised at the level of knowledge and interest on this forum. Interesting question from this is...Which do yo prefer?

True OEM with thin surround, or low cost (good quality still) with thick surround? I will understand that some puritans will not like the none OEM product, personally I'm "cockahoop" with my cheapy

it is not only the thick surround that is different - the ones i bought from ebay had the blades stick out more, which in german forums were considered as the "aggressive look"

and misterk as for you - buy yourself a car for i guess 50 grand and then go stingy on such grills

Dont quite get your point, I take it you didnt like the aggresive grill so went OEM, your choice, when I bought my grills I wasnt aware that there was a choice is my point, so I thought what I was buying was infact an OEM grill...should have realised I guess that at that price it wasnt an OEM...

As I said I'm not unhappy with the result Hope your happy too

Mick...p.s. wish the toon were doing better

i also was not sure there was a choice, so i bought the ones from ebay only to realize i liked the oem ones

anyway, we are all happy , even Michael Owen is happy eventhough Sven says the opposite, and you never know, bad boy Nic (anelka) might be on his way to St. James...
