My Ride: 2005 525i. 30% Huper Optik tint. Sirius.

I asked my service advisor for a tour of the service area at my dealership when I took my e60 in for a software upgrade and Sirius install. The service garage was amazing and the technicinas were very kind. I wish my garage was half as organized and clean as thier shop. I talked to a couple of them for over 30 minutes about all kinds of stuff including the new engines in the 525 and 530. (they had an 06 530 in the shop and let me have a look) They knew much more about the technicial issues that are discussed here than any service advisor or sales person I have ever talked too. Too bad more of them are not members here. I wish I could have stayed longer!! I just felt more comfortable in the shop than sitting in the "stuffy" waiting room in the front of the dealership. Sure, plasma screen tv's and plush furnature are nice but I would rather spend some time shooting the bull with some guys that are as interested in the workings of these fine machines as I am than sit in a waiting room listening to salesmen and service advisors feed BS to customers.

Just my 2 cents.

I have been in the service area several times. I ask if I can walk in and it is never a problem.
