Had my car in with hexagon bmw last week and they wanted to charge me a whopping 79.99 to have my air con deodrised using the airco clean.
called up sytner bmw and they quoted me 39.99.
took my car in 1 hr later got it back and paid 23.49 for it
can't believe the price differential between dealers (esp as there only 15 miles apart!!)

In my experience, they are like that for all aspects of servicing. I am "fortunate" enough to live within a 30 mile radius of 5 dealers (OK, I live in the middle of nowhere!!). Pricing up servicing for my 330d can throw up differences of ?50 to ?100, depending on service type (Oil, Inspection I, Inspection II). All for doing the same thing!! You have GOT to shop around - would you mind driving another 10 miles to get ?100 off your service? I remember a "Which" survey some years ago that said Grassick's in Perth were the cheapest for servicing BMW's. Perhaps a little too far for most English folk to travel. As I went past Perth in my usual "commute" I of course asked for a quote - they were a fiver cheaper than one of my local, Cheshire, dealers.
