I was driving today to the movies today. My friend who was supposed to be following me was screwing around. He didnt know where to go so i had to get in front of him. The first lane change was successful. But, being the idiot he is, he gets into the next lane and trys to pass me. I see this and slow my speed. What he didnt see, was the island in the middle of the street. He tries to dodge it, and tries to come out on the right side, where i am right next to him. He hits my car, while at the same time i am moving away. My side view mirror's cap is gone. My door is misaligned and is dented. Its not really a deep dent. The airback didnt deploy.

It was a 2005 525i that i was driving. Do you think i need a new door? How much do you think i'll have to pay? The car is still very drivable with the exception of that door, which has a dent. Its not a deep dent, its just very long. Other than that my car is fine.

How much would this cost, estimated? Would my warrenty cover this?

sorry to hear that :'(. i'm sure your warranty won't cover a bit of it since it's an accident. your friend should responsible for everything. if your friend doesn't want to contact his insurance company, then he needs to pay for the repair bill.

i think sometimes it depends on his friend. if he's a good guy, then he'll take care of everything . if he's not, then he'll deny everything .

i hope everything inside the door is ok :'(. then you just need to get a new mirror cap and repair the door. no matter what, you shouldn't be the one who worried about this. your friend should .

Does anyone know the consequence of not giving your information to the other party? I gave all my insurance, license and plate number to him, while he refused to give me his stuff.

What's the consequence of this?

Call the cop. Take necessary picture, find some witness and file the Uninsured Motorist Report with his license plate number.

Sorry to hear :'(
Your friend and his insurance should IMO normally take care of this.
