Trying to choose a color - ordered Mystic Blue, but thinking of Black now. What is the difference between Sapphire Metallic and Jet Black? Monaco Blue looks good, but I presently have a 2001 Orient Blue 325 Convertible. Need something different. I want to go with the Beige Leather interior - any thoughts?

I went with black on black. To me it is the only color for the 5! I do wash and wax it once a week and rarely drive in the rain. Stop at any stoplight and look around and you'll see everybody is driving something in silver, but it always looks clean. So it comes down to how much time you have to wash your car and detail it.
Look thru the gallery, somebody had a blue with auburn int., which looked pretty good also.
Good luck on your choice.

I was all set to order Orient Blue and then BMW replaced it with Monaco Blue which does not seem as dark or metallic as OB. IMO MB is one those colors that seems to change depending on ambient lighting conditions. When its bright and sunny out, MB looks almost black. When it's cloudy and overcast the blue seems lighter and maybe a little on the dull side. In my garage under fluorescent lighting it looks more like a medium blue. It does seem to attract and show a lot of dust. I went with the beige rather than auburn because it makes the interior brighter and I wanted to minimize the different colors on the doors/dash/floor board, etc.
Welcome and have fun deciding which combination to get.

Black doesn't get dirty, my friend? I always like what ipse d says. Black is not a color; it's a hobby. And, I can confirm what he says in true--at least if you want your black car to look good.
