My Ride: 2003, Passat W8 Station Wagon.
Hello from Canada! This is my first post to this site, although as a "soon to be" BMW owner I have been reading your posts intently for a while. Looking for Canadian pricing (BMW Toronto says not released yet). I have selected a 535xi with three options; Navigation package, Technology package & Premium package. Plat grey with brown leather + spare set of winter tires. Any assistance would be very much appreciated. Tx Stephen.

Canadian have to be the unluckiest ones in the world, i just heard from my salesman that BMW Canada isnt importing any new 5 series, before they can get rid of the 2007 model which they have too many of. He also said he has no idea when they will start importing the new model, so everyone else out there consider yourself lucky.

My salesman said this, my salesman said that, blah blah blah. To be honest with you, a good 90% of the "salesman" don't know jack about what it is they are selling. All they want is your money, they will say anything to seal the deal. I bet you your salesman just said that so he could try to push the 2007 models on you, no wait = faster pay for him.
It makes sense, but the people who are waiting for their 2008 model wont want to have a old 530i when they can have a 535i or even the M sport package with the 550i. I dont think there is a big enough inventory of 5 series in Canada to start with, all the cars are made on order, so why would BMW Canada buy so many 2007 models when they know the 2008 are coming soon????????????

The saleman is BSing. Anyone can order a new MY2008 5 Series. The dealer may not be bringing any in for general slaes, but they can order one for a customer (if you put down a deposit!). The CDN prices will be available next week. It's not all of Canada that has too many 2007s. It's just that dealer!!
And there is a 2008 5 Series coming to Canada next week! Mind you, it's my new M5, but it arrives in Halifax on Tuesday and will be at the dealer here in Ottawa for the Easter Weekend. I pick it up the following week after all my accessories are installed.

I'm really curious, your dealer is dilevering your car for the week after easter. thats amazing, plus its an M5. My 550i begins production the first week of april and i was supposed to get the first week of May. I just e-mailed a different dealer ad they say the prices wont be out until mid May??????? Are you sure the prices will be out next week?
