Sorry for not giving more details. I've brought my car in over a dozen times for a rough running engine. After the sixth time they changed the valve levers, car is still running rough and now only gets 11.7 miles in the city. They tell me it's normal, no faults on the computer. Why does my car eat as much gas as an M5 but go so slow? So instead of refilling once a week, I need to refill twice a week just to go 200 miles in the city. Who wouldn't be pissed? Would you be fine would that? I had the service manger get in the car and feel the rough engine, and he confirmed it to me. When I tired to get him on a three way call with a BMW rep. he declined and told the rep there was nothing wrong. How would you feel? San Francisco being so small I just happen to know somebody that works there and that thats how they feel about not being able get get every car perfect. They just have so much business, what does one customer matter. What if you just happened to be that one customer. How would you feel?

No, you're crazy three, I am t(w)oo, since I allready said I had the same thoughts.
Would you be happy if you had to buy my car back a year later and lose 25k on the car after you've fixed it?
You sure you don't work for Bmw in some way Iceman?

Of course I do work for BMW.
I buy cars from them, they make money by selling me such cars... so I work to make money that I give them and help them be succesfull = I work for their success... So in SOME way I do work for BMW.

That's what I think--unless they forgot to hire technicians. I wonder how many technicians are on the dealer's staff. I'm crazy too.
I think Dilbert (as usual) has the answer (read Technician for Consultant):

I guess it is too late for you to use the lemon law. I am hoping your car is leased so they will get it back. I would not feel great under your circumstances. I don't understand how your dealer can ignore the mileage assuming you are convincing when you tell them you are not a leadfoot--assuming you aren't. Given 11.7 MPG, what is your average MPH?

Yeah too late for the lemon law now. No I'm not a leadfoot when it's getting 11.7 mpg. When I'm i'm only getting 9.3.The average MPH reads 21.7. I should've traded in when that I was offered the M5 at a decent price.
