To fellow E60 members in the San Francisco Bay Area. Don't do anymore business with BMW of San Francisco. I've been told by an employee that works there "They don't care about fixing a costumer's car when you bring it in. It would cost to much fix every car that came in. The dealership would ratther pay a smooth talking SA to tell you it's running normal. For the price of what we paid, don't you think we deserve better treatment then that.

Plz support my cause by not doing any more business with BMW of San Francisco. If you know someone that wants to buy BMW, remember to tell them just not to go to BMW of San Francisco. I thank you all in advance for supporting my cause.

Well, we've heard what one, possibly disgruntled, employee had to say. What is your specific gripe about the dealer? What didn't they fix for you? You ask alot without telling us what the problem is. Like Billie Jean says "fair is fair."

Call me crazy, but don't dealers make a bunch of cash by "fixing" cars?

Yeah, my thoughts exactly.
Doesn't make much sense not fixing a car.

That's what I think--unless they forgot to hire technicians. I wonder how many technicians are on the dealer's staff. I'm crazy too.

Well then what do they do if they dont fix anything? Do they only fix major obvious broken things? and no fix the minor annoyances?

Like Transmission slams they will deam normal?

Like I said, maybe they forgot to hire technicians. I wonder if BMW requires dealers to hire technicians or if it's OK just to hire SA's to brush all those needing warranty work, etc., off. The dealer might even have fewer than the usual number of SA's, and would need few or no shop foremen or shop managers. They could even turn off the electricty in the service are, but, of course, they might have a dummy service area so turning the electriciyt off might not even be necessary.

My buddy just bought from them 07 525i for $700 over invoice. That's a v gd deal for 07 models.

However, i've heard alot of horrible experiences with their services.
