One awesome piece advice from me to the world... If anyone ever move to Thailand, do not expect any good BMW deals and superb service, despite all their ads about how great their services are. They are crap. The service at the dealers really really suck, their workers/mechanics are highly incompetent, uneducated about their products that they sell for way over over standard price.

Annoyance:

I spent about 7 hours at a dealer while they take my car apart like 4 times just to install and AUX port, which until today have not been installed and working!!

Chrome trim on my driver side window became loose, which i fear may fly off anytime I drive fast. Went to the dealer, they took it off sprayed it with some cleansing thing, put it back on the door and guess wat??? 10 minutes after i drive out of the damn dealer, the fricking chrome came off again!!

Asked about 5 different dealers about CIP upgrades... Believe it or not?!! NONE of the dealers know what the hell CIP is.. They don't know that CIP can be upgraded!! They asked me this, "Excuse me sir, what is CIP?" and I was like, "WTF?!" (Excuse my language... I'm just so mad that I spent over 110,000 USD on a car and receive that kind of question...)

Wrote to BMW Thailand... No answer up until today!!

Does anyone know any way that I can prove to the Thailand dealers or maybe even BMW Thailand that CIP actually exist in the BMW iDrive world??!!

One other thing... My car dealer said that Bluetooth would be available on my car and MP3 playback, but it turns out it didn't, but that I blame myself for accepting delivery before checking the car. When I brought it back... they said... "Bluetooth in car... illegal in Thailand!!" EXCUSE ME!! My brother's MB CLK have bluetooth in it!!! If BMW cannot get all their branches knowledgable about their own product, BMW will come off my top 3 list for cars.

these vehicles are quite expensive in taiwan, as well. your average (not fully loaded) 530i goes for just around 100,000 USD

Show them this forum!! There are so many people with CIP upgrades and issues they've got to believe it's possible! Failing that, take a big stick!
