Hi,
I hope to collect my new car within the next 2 weeks and was considering the BMW service package.
?1500 ( UK?1042 --- US$1960) for all scheduled services up to 60K Miles or 5 years which ewver comes first.
Any comments on whether this represents good value ?
Thanks In Advance.

I got mine for ?750 too. I still think ?1,000 is good value as long as you're going to keep the car and do the mileage...
It covers a lot of items, including brakes pads and discs - that could be worth a bit! The electronics say they're only going to last to 20k miles!

[/quote]May get more benefit if u drive high mileage. I drive low mileage. I bought my car when it was 3 months old and it had 350 miles on the clock. Its now 13 months old and I've only done just less than 8000 miles. Oil service is due in another 4000 miles. At this rate probably just get to the first major service on brakes etc

Thanks you all for your comments.
I think I will go with it.
I guess its important to factor in the increase in parts & labour costs over
the next few years therefore you are fixing your costs at todays rates now, alos the fact that the service package moves with the car when you sell might be a small help in resale value.
Thanks Again.

My Ride: 530D SE Touring, Titanium Grey, 122 Wheels, Pro Nav, Pro Phone, Pro Radio, Advanced Air, 6 Disc Autochanger, Dakota Black Leather, Auto, Panoramic Sunroof, De chrome, mats, Bi-xenons, PDC, Service inclusive and Tracker.
It is worth it. My wife's car has done 10000miles and it needs new rear brake pads in 4k and a service in 5k. New front pads in 9k.
So thats 4 services at circa ?200 - ?400. = ?1200
4 Sets of rear pads at ?150 = ?600
3 sets of front pads at ?150 = ?450
Every other set of pads you need new discs so thats 2 sets of rear discs and 2 sets of front. God only knows how much that will cost maybe ?600.
Not including windscreen wipers at ?20 a set and needed at 9k on our car so there's another ?120.
Up around ?3k I reckon over 60k miles.
Cheers Paul
