Question

Hi guys,
I am so surprised about the different prices of bmw's and cars in general around the world. I live in Holland and here the cars are very expensive. We pay a lot of taxes even we are neighbour of Germany where the BMW's come from.
For example, the new M5 without any additional options costs here 133k euro's, converted that means 178k us dollars. I suppose that is a lot more than in the US, isnt it.
My car, a 525i touring, full option cost me 82k euro's, so 110k dollars
I would love to compare some prices of bmw's around the world, for start lets take the M5.
Regards,

Sorry Ray Hull,

But this sucks us who have to pay hard for our E60's.

The Finnish prices including a 100% car tax and a 22% VAT (also for the tax!) are:

New standard 525iA 61 k€, 550iA 94 k€ and the M5 135 k€.

Options makes min 10 k€ to 50 k€ extra.

For a cheap US $ take times 1,23.

My 525iA is a 71 k€ car = 87 k$ -> loaded 550iA Sport.

M5 in Hong Kong = $1,480,000 HKD = 156,153 Euro = 190,761 USD

525iA = $548,000 HKD = 57,826 EUR = 70,632 USD

So the Hong Kong government tax higher for Luxury cars with high displacement, the same goes for license fee.

Paid just below $50,000 for my 2006 530i. BMW Military Sales saves us some money for those of us who are eligible.

I think car prices in Singapore would probably qualify among the highest in the world.

M5 - about S$450,000 - US$278,000
M6 - about S$500,000 - US$308,000
