My Ride: 2006 530i - Sport - 6spd - Orient Blue with Auburn/Anthracite
My dealer says the new 5er is at the VPC in California, but the lady on the phone has gone back to telling me that it was "awaiting a vessel" and now "in transit". I'm pretty sure she's wrong (it's been about 55 days since I ordered the car). Do the production numbers get reused? Are there duplicates of the last 7 digits of the VIN?

Same happened to me. The phone system was correct up to "In Transit" then switched back to "awaiting a vessel" after my car arrived at the VPC. Your dealer
has most accurate information. You can also check BMW Owner's Circle.
