I seem to remember that many people have asked about the various charges, etc. and what they should expect to pay (if anything) when they turn in their cars at lease-end.
The following is a scan of the lease-end inspection form which outlines the charges. Also, in the lease-end kit that they send, there is a clear plastic disc (pictured below) that you use to determine whether or not you are charged for body dings, windshield cracks, etc.

If its not done by BMW, I'm sure that you will be charged for it. Basically they want to see the car in the same condition that they gave it to you less any minor incidentals.

I turned in a leased car after I did window tinting on my own and was not charged for it.
On a separate question: I hit a high curb when I was trying to park my car and have a fairly deep scratch approximately 8 inches long in the front left hand corner of my front bumper, towards the bottom.....there is no structural (i.e. no dent) damage, just paint scraped off (think along lines when you drive over a puddle or mud)......a local dealer (whom I did not purchase the car from) claims they can make it look much better for $250 OR I can have it done at a professional body shop for $650...here's the question: would you bother repairing this with a year left on your lease or leave it as is....I also should end up coming in anywhere from 5 - 8K miles below what I paid for on my lease...will this be a wash, particularly if I end up leasing a new car from the dealer where I got this one from (Crevier BMW)????
Thanks
