My 04 530 is getting some miles on it so i decided to start looking for a replacement. I spoke with Tom Bush BMW in JAX FL today and told them I was interested in an 07 530. First, the guy laughed at me when i told him I wanted a 6 speed. Anyways, he told me that they have a guy that goes to "DRIVE" sales. He mentioned that if they buy vehicles at these events that they (the dealer) get great incentives and other perks for those purchases. My question to my fellow E60.net friends is, does anyone know precisely what these incentives are? And any tips on how I should go about this.

As an aside, I play tennis every week with a close friend of the general manager at the dealership. Will this help?

Thanks for your input,
Chad

Not sure what the "Drive" sales are.

But if you have a connection to the general manager, see if they can buy you a car at auction.

Negotiate on a premium over the their cost, this saves them the time and hassle of actually selling the car.
