All E60 buddies, Greetings!!

Gentlemen, yes, now I know what the fuss is all about !!! :D

HOLY SH*T!!!!!! ( sorry! ) the feeling of starting that V8 is amazing :lol: :wow: :wow:

Well, picked up the car this afternoon after a small delay from my side.
First of all, you know the small problem I had before ( with the extra km's ).
After the official apology from the sales director, I must say the service from my
dealer, chief mechanic ( who setup the bluetooth cell phone etc. for me )
had jumped from poor to excellent. I was quite surprised to go from no one knownig where the car was to a complete professional approach.
The atmoshere was pleasant and as a small compesation I was given some goodies.

1. BMW Winter mats
2. I mentioned that the mats delivered in the car were the 'city' type mats (low quality) , so my dealer upgraded them to the more plush and thicker BMW Velour mats.
3. Blutooth adapter
4. Next week will pickup a wood gear shifter.

This without mentioning anything. So, I was happy.

Chief mechanic also informed me of various technicalities ( software version 14.2 ) and some other stuff. And that he was available to answer any other queries. Hmmm....not bad.



Next came the tradein of my E46...went pretty fast. :blink:

Next, I drove my baby out, given all the paperwork, flowers were handed to my wife and a good wish gestured.

Just came back now after 75km driving.
What can I say? I mean the engineering is just superb... :thumbsup:
obviously a better all round car than the E46. The sports steering wheel is just
perfect in it's thickness and snugness, and the engine is just sublime.
At idle, there is not one bubble in the bubbly!!!! :blink: ( in the pic !!! :lol: )
Just amazing!!

HUD is a dream. Intuitive and practical plus enhances safety.
Comfort seats are to die for.

Unfortanately it started raining, so I'm back home now with not so many pics.
I promise to take more shortly, weather permitting.

Also like to take the oppurtunity to thank all E60 buddies for the support, comfort and help up to now. Great place to be!!! :thumbsup:

Anyway, so far so good. Nothing technical to mention, everything is working properly up to now.

Which dealer did you use. I have previously bought 3 new BMW's from Kalfsbeek in Delft but poor exchange rate against the Euro has ruled out importing for the time being.

Fantastic. I still look forward to driving, even in bad traffic. I borrowed a friend's X5 yesterday (had to pick up something too big for my trunk/seats), and was positively impatient to drive my 545 afterwards!
