From UK BMW web site.

Suppose, is it a kind of racism?
Or, rest European agents - importers are useless?

Don't suppose it will have anything to do with the fact they they have stuck it up us price wise for the last 30 years or so and the extra years warranty used to be their lame excuse for charging us so much more!

How much is the cost today for E60 523i in UK, converted in euros?
Here the basic equipment (called comfort) model's cost is 48.000 euros.
The top equipment (called exclusive) model's cost is 55.000 euros.
The exclusive compaired to comfort have plus: leather seats, adaptive headlights with washers, active steering, parking distance control and cruise control. No navi, no bluetooth, no folded mirrors, no 17" runflats, (16" simple alloys fitted) on the top equipment model.
So, you can imagine the equipment of the basic (comfort) model.

Please, inform me , if you know, how much is the price difference in euros (523i with the same equipment) GR compaired to UK market?

Thank you.

I'm not sure how you could compare the prices today they are on the BMW UK website but you would need to add in the relevent extras to get the same spec as your models.
We are lead to believe that following the introduction of the new 7 series BMW were the first company to give UK buyers comparable prices to the rest of europe and I guess that parity has been maintained with all new models since then.

However prior to the new 7 our prices were so much more expensive that you could go to any of a large number of companies who had set up business importing european cars into the uk, presumably making a tidy profit, and showing the end user a good saving on UK prices. I beleive that the 3 year warranty was about the only justification a UK dealer could give for a Uk customer paying a highly inflated price.

Ok.
Here is the proof.
E60 523i sedan manual, standard equipment, (called comfort), price in Greece = 47.800 euros, or 32.580 UK GBP, or 57.650 US Dollars (no PDC, no cruise control, no anti-dazzle mirror, no 17" wheels, no runflats) whereas UK have it all as standard.
3 year warranty in UK, 2 year warranty in Greece.

The UK 523i standard equipment

and here the GR 523i standard equipment

What do you think now?

The same kind of pain, but the difference is the M and the warranty.

In Toronto I paid the equivilant of 49 000 Euros for my MY06 530 with step, comfort access, and Logic 7. Our Canadian market is smaller (32million) and far more geographically diverse than any of the others mentioned here. 4 year waranty and 3 year scheduled service too. Go figure...

A 530i with the same equipnent, will cost here 80.000 eur. and more.
The amount that a M5 will cost in Canada.
