I'm looking at a 328i and was told that I was being sold the car AT invoice. A few friends of mine think that the invoice price lists are fake and that I am still getting ripped off. They say that I can still go a few thousand dollars under the price I am getting it at (invoice). I was wondering if there was any truth to this. One friend even recommended using a car broker as they have better connections and can get a better deal. Can they get it cheaper than invoice price?

There is something called "holdback" that manufacturers give dealers (basically to cover overhead), but I'm not sure BMW does that.

From reading this board, I have never heard of anyone getting invoice or better, so I doubt this is possible. If price matters that much, try ED.

BMW has ZERO holdback, so they lose money on anything under invoice.......FYI

Go look at a comparable model at another dealer and guage it from there. Build the same car on the BMW website and see how much it is going for if you don't want to go to other dealers.

I think i got my car at invoice or slightly bellow that...

The sticker was at 70,295 but i think they gave it to me for like 65k... the manager said he might get fired for it which i think is BS but it was the last 07 550i on the lot.
