I believe with the 07 introduction in March 06, you will see no changes on the E-60 this fall. Maybe price increases but thats it.
Is it the case that MY 07 starts 6 months later in EU than USA.

I am curious which MY cycle (both?) catalyse the introduction of extra features and "integrated extras".

IIRC (and I stand to be corrected) the start of EU MY (September) is the occasion when (at least in UK) there is a BMW(UK) pricing update.

Based on my prior purchasing history, and on the basis that I just picked up my new 07 550, it only means one thing - I can personally guarantee to the members of this fine forum that there is now going to be shed load of positive changes and new kit added to the September models at no extra cost.

Ill tell you that if I had purchased a MY 06 330 last year and found out tha they were offering a turbo 335 in the fall I would truly be pissed. Thats a huge improvement, and the look of the coupe is real nice.

So when is the turbo V8 coming out for the 550?

It's not normally the case, you're right that September is when BMW in general switches to the new model year. In the US, a 2007 model was introduced this Spring, apparently in light of some emissions requirements and certifications. Essentially it's the 06 with some changes but despite not being a BMW 07, the model sold here is to all intents and purposes an 07 as far as the US market is concerned. The September production (BMW's 07 model year) will probably still be an 07 for the US market. These 07's may have an 18 month 07 lifecycle, but you never know - maybe the US 08's will be out next Spring

Well, actually I am interested in the same question whether there will be any changes coming with the September Modell. There are some rumours going on in forums in Europe saying the BMW intends to improve the power of their machines (e.g. increase the 530d from 231 hp to some 250, 525d from 177 to some 204 and so on).
Has anyone of you any information on this.
My dealer wasn't aware but said that it could well be...

Thanks + cheers,

Vapo

Here in the EU too there have been some cosmetic changes from late March even though it's not yet the EU MY changeover.

eg rear AUX IN and cigarette lighters(??)...

Outch, you guys read carefully.

In fact the 539d in my signature wasn?t a special series it was just a typo. Should mean 530d. That happens when you can?t decide between 530 and e39 I suppose.
Thanks!

The EU MY changes in September (real BMW E60 MY's) so some changes will for sure come.

The facelift will happen in September '07!!!

The 525d is up for a update (exactly when, I do not know) but the 530d engine will remain the same.

But if you are now thinking of buying a E60 be sure to wait for the BMW MY 07 that will start from Sept
production.
