I will pull the trigger on a new 550 Sport on Monday. I will be doing European Delivery for the fourth time. Before I can finalize the deal, I have two questions that need to be resolved.
Today I found out about an Acquisition Fee that is claimed to be part of a lease deal. Is this legitimate? Also the CA claims that the Training Fee is part of the deal. I told him that I do not believe that this is part of a European Delivery deal. He will check on Monday. I would appreciate any available input on these issues.
As usual, the dealer attempted to base the residual value on Euro Delivery MSRP, not US MSRP. This made a $5,400 difference over the 3 year life of the deal !!!!!!!!!!!! They were certainly wrong on this one.

I believe you answered your own question regarding Acquisition Fee in the other thread you resurrected. As for training fee, I did not see one when I did my ED in '05.

To vega, training fee is new.
However, it is not applicable on Euro. Delivery sales. Neither is MACO.
To Pharding, it sounds as if your CA does not know very much about Euro. Delivery (my optimistic thought) or he is a schemer (my pessimistic thought based on the residual issue and the training fee).
For some reason I seem to recall you are in the midwest. There is a very reputable salesman named Irv in Chicago who does dozens of European Deliveries each month and is very highly regarded by his customers. Perhaps you should contact him. I could find out his details if need be.
