So I got an email the other day from my local dealer that said my car is due for it's 60k mile service. It didn't say what services would be performed or how much it would cost.

Can anyone fill in the voids? I doubt I would take it in....but I would still like to know what they do at 60k miles.

didn't know there was a 60K service for our E60 at the dealership...I always assume whatever is due, iDrive will notfiy us, well that along with the recommended regular maintenance such as coolant, brake fluid, and other things that was listed on the Bavarian maintenance newsletter.

If you do ever find out what kind of service the dealer has in mind for your car, please post it since my is getting close to the 60K mark also. Thanks

Yeah..I thought it just went off of whatever was due on the idrive. I emailed my SA on Monday to find out what services are done...so far he hasn't replied back

My SA finally got back to me...here is what he said.......

"The normal services that come due at or around 60,000 miles is a vehicle check (inspection). The vehicle check/inspection consist of an under vehicle inspection (steering, suspension, brake system, drive line), under hood, computer scan, etc). Cost is $177."


Haha...yeah right

$ 177 for an inspection...damn, BMW dealership is really ripping people off and the worst part, some rich suckers will pay them for the service.
