550 due in port on Saturday!!

My Ride: On order for November Delivery - 550 !!!! - Currently own 1999 E39 540, sport pkg, premium sound pkg, black on black. Previous owner of 2000 M Coupe, 1996 328is, 1984 633csi, 1982 528e, and wifed owned 1999 528 touring and 2002 525 touring. Looking at buying 545 or 550 in fall of 2005.
I'm so friggin excited to get my hands on my car. Just heard from the dealer that the boat is due at Point Heuneme (spellng?) this coming Saturday and she estimates I will have the keys by Friday the 28th. This wait is killing me!!!

My Ride: '06 - 550 - on order (estimated final production date of 10/17/05, per BMW). Final Production Date 10/14, one day early!!!! DELIVERED - 11/30/05!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROCK ON>!!!!

My build date was 10/14... it is sitting in a parking lot somewhere in Germany right now... waiting for a ship.

[/quote]I honestly don't remember the build date. I've been tracking it on the OC site and through my dealer. It was built quickly and it seems like maybe it's been on the water about 3 weeks now.

I haven't heard or seen any 550i's hit in California yet, for that matter, where are the magazine reviews? I would have liked to have read a road test or two so I'm looking forward to what you think.

First of all CONGRATS!! you are a lucky few!!
My dealer in LA received the 1st 550 this past monday, but it was already picked up for customer delivery... So we may start to see some on the road...

My 550 is at the vehicle inspection center. I'm expecting to get it Wed or Thur. The closer it gets. The harder it is for me to wait.
