My Ride: Close to ordering 2008 550i Sport Packg w/ sport auto tran. Previous owner of 2000 328i and 2003 E39 M5
Default

My car is almost to NY.

When it gets here....I am going to go to the dealership to work the deal.

Here is what I have going on and was wondering if what Im being told is accuate and are there any further recommendations from this board.

Negotiated Selling Price

MSRP - $69,375.00 MINUS $4,000.00 DISCOUNT = $65,375.00

Invoice price of the above car is $63,795.00. Profit right now stands at $1,580 plus a $599dealer fee or a total of $2,179.00

I feel that is too much profit. I want them to make $1,000 - $1,200 over invoice inclusive of the dealer fee.

Lease Calculations

My SA told me that the MF for August went up 1 basis point. It was 0.00265 in July. What is it now?

I see in the dealer section on this site:

2008 BMW 550i Sedan
24 Month ? Residual 69% of MSRP ? .00245 Base Rate
36 Month ? Residual 59% of MSRP ? .00245 Base Rate

Can I get the lease at 0.00245 MF? Im looking for a 36 month lease.

Lastly, This car is ordered, on the Liberty, and there is NO deposit made by me. If I dont like the deal when it comes in....I can walk away right?

What would be the best way to pay only 1K or 1.2K over Invoice and get the buy rate of 0.00245? Just walk out if they say no?

Its getting close and I wuld love some recommendations please.

Thanks

in July BMW was offering a loyalty bonus about $100 off a month...lease rates in August are the same as July - just look slightly different - if you had bmw before - may qualify for bonus - also are you a member of BMW Car Club of America?

If so after you get car - you can get $1,000 cash back - but you must be member for more than one year - I have 550 sport coming in end of Sept or Oct. Good luck

The loyalty bonus was only for previous BMWFS customers, not BMW owners, so if you paid cash or financed outside BMWFS you are not eligible.

Wasn't this actually a money factor reduction?
