I know what I'm looking for is a rare bird, so I decided to come to the forums to see if I can luck out in finding what I want...

My Perfect Car:

-Silver or Silver Gray on black 550i with M-Package
-1 or 2 owner with service history/receipts, no accidents, as stock as possible
-As low mileage as possible that would keep me within my budget
-Would love a MT, but can deal with an auto if I have to
-Heated seats
-Clean rims with no (or very minor) curb rash
-Clean/conditioned leather without any cracks/tears
-Always garaged, never smoked in
-Tires with a good amount of tread left (seems like every car I buy I have to get new tires within a month of purchase)

That should about do it. If you or anyone else you know has what I'm looking for and is willing to part with it, please let me know!

I have a 2010 Volvo XC60 3.2 black on black with 56k miles for sale if you or someone you know wants that. The sooner I can get rid of this, the sooner I can get into a 545/550!

folding rear seats are not common options for BMW

Haha! You're right - not a common option at all but out there. I didn't have folding seats in my 328 but I did in my M3 and it was nice fitting longer/larger items in the trunk. It's not at all a must just a nice bonus. It helps sell the "practicality" to the wife, lol

 

For about $25k you should be able to get an 08 550i. No point in trying to get a 545 when a 550 would be better.

 

Yeah that's what I am starting to realize. I read somewhere that the V8 in the 545 was a little more sporty than the 550 so I figured I would be ok with either...but the more I look at the interiors the more I prefer the changes in 2008 so that's my main target now

 

After about 6 weeks of actively looking (actively=daily) I finally found my unicorn! Picking it up later next week (Wed/Thurs).
