FEELER - 2008 LCI 535i 6MT M-Sport
Giving serious thought to selling my 2008 535i 6MT M-Sport, (Monaco Blue over Black) with 74,000 miles.
I purchased this car from a board member in late 2011 and had the car shipped from Texas. This car is almost fully optioned with Sport, Premium and Winter packages (heated steering wheel, too), NAV, OEM M-Sport aero package (car was ordered for Euro delivery), power privacy shades, Logic7, Sirius/XM, iPod/USB connectivity, comfort access, adaptive xenons, PDC, and Dakota full leather. (The only thing missing is HUD and night vision). As far as mods go, I added OEM M5 rear spoiler (custom matte black finish on spoiler, rear diffuser, "535i badge" and Trinity kidney grills), 35% tint all the way around, all-weather mats, OEM M5 aluminum interior trim, and custom 20" forged Vellano VSVs on Hankook Ventus V12s. (No longer have winter wheels, btw.) Oh, I forgot to mention the Orion angel eye upgrade, performed by a board member with blackout inner treatment. This car gets compliments wherever it goes!
Everything else is stock, never got around to the Cobb Tune.
Recent service includes fuel injectors, tune up, water pump and thermostat (under BMW warranty). Oil is changed every 3,000 miles and this car is pristine. (This car had the dreaded HPFP replaced at 13,000 miles and the turbos replaced shortly thereafter, so no issues with any of that.)
Additionally, the car is covered by a fully transferable bumper-to-bumper warranty which has 22 months or 22,000 miles remaining on it, whichever comes sooner.
I have owned an e38, three e39s and now two e60s, and I can tell you that this car has been my absolute favorite. I recently drove from Raleigh, NC to Ocean City, MD and back, and averaged 26.2mpg. That, and knowing that a Cobb Tune can get the N54 TT motor to push close to 400HP makes this car an absolute dream for those looking for performance without sacrificing practicality. Also, I should mention that 18 months is by far the longest I have ever owned a car, so it's just time for something new.
Given how rarely optioned the car is, the warranty, and the wheels (please do not bother asking me to part out unless you have mint condition STYLE 172s or 166s with newer tires and will ship to me first at your expense), I think that $26,500 is a fair asking price. Good luck finding a car like this in this condition for anything less. I am in no rush to sell, so hopefully the car goes to a BMW enthusiast like me who will appreciate and care for her!
