BMW 2008 E61 MT6, 150k, Deep Sea Blue, 2 wheelsets, Dinan ecu, exhaust, loaded
So, 2008 BMW E61 535xi MT6 speed manual, 150,000 miles or so. Was CPO and dealer serviced to 100k. 2nd owner from 2010.
Deep Sea Blue with "Natural Brown" interior and the less common light poplar trim including shift lever.
A fender-bender dented the right front fender, not the door, not the hood, not even the bumper, just the aluminum fender. It's 100% functional, just not pretty but even in some angles you hardly see it but it needs to be fixed sometime. I just never did because I intended to do M5 fenders and front end. There are chips all over the front so my plan was to do a pretty comprehensive repaint up front, whole hood, both fenders, blend into doors but also fix a couple spots on a door and rear bumper unless changing that out as well. So you see what I mean, no sense fixing just a fender if a big project includes it anyway.
Inside there are no rips, cuts, or other problems with any leather anywhere. The dash, side panels, etc, everything is in pretty much perfect condition. There are a couple pokes/pulls in the headliner fabric having gotten caught on something. Did you know a 29" mtn bike with seat removed and front wheel of course, can fit inside standing straight up? Pretty cool these fast utility wagons! It's even great for solo road trips where you might opt to set up a long sleep area on passenger side in the back with seats down to not bother with a tent in shit weather at a campground or be super comfortable at an overnight rest area.
I think the right people will 'get' what I'm taling about. These cars are very versatile aside from being quick yet fuel efficient enough to get over 400 miles per tank. The Dinan helps a bit with that if you're gentle on the throttle.
Most factory options including:
HUD
Navi of course
Sport trim
"Comfort 20-way seats"
Heated front, rear seats
Heated steering wheel
Side airbags in rear doors
18"x8" sport wheels
Cargo area cover and vertical interlocking net.
Extras:
All tires are one size up. 254/45x18. Why and what is the result? Slightly more ground clearance because if you're like me, this is a super fun and comfortable but utility ride so I wanted a bit more ground clearance for gravel roads to trail heads for hiking, mtb, etc and better snow clearance. I think it's actually about 1/2" higher. The other cool side benefit is the fender flush look concentrically around the fender lip. The gap is much slimmer and it's equalized rather than when you lower and the gap only closes on the top, not the sides. This looks pretty cool in my opinion. Stock size is 245/40x18.
This also provides more sidewall for a much nicer ride and a more durable tire combination on road streets or gravel roads. I only use the highest grade tires and sourced them after much research for reasons such as traction in varying weather but also longevity. These can be flipped on the wheel at some point which massively increases the life span. Our cars have a camber which really wears the inside edge. Flipping a tire on the wheel about mid-way in planned mileage will actually increase the mileage by about 30%. It's a cheap way to also keep the best traction until you change for new tires without having one edge nearing gone yet the rest of the tire looking like 50%.
Full size matching spare for each set rotated in for equal wear so it can be used any time as a replacement tire in event of damaged tire (means you don't have to get 2 tires when just one gets damaged because they are all worn to same diameter) Plus you don't end up with some old as hell non-matching spare.
M3 factory 18x8 with Bridgestone 970 all season and tpms sensors in all 5 of each set. Symetrical directional, the Nokian are also Symetrical and directional.

Newish AGM battery 2017-18
Turbos replaced at 100k
Walnut blast at 100k
Oil catch can
Custom 2" receiver flush in rear bumper valance for bike rack. No departure angle issues as it is tucked higher than lower edge of trim which means it's also visually clean looking.
-reverse camera tied in to NAV screen
-Escort laser shifter/radar 9500ci stealth installed with LED tucked into NAV nook "roof" and inside closed ash tray flip lid. Laser sensors inside the grill and under rear lip near 2" receiver.
-3m Ceramic tint throughout legal most states with lower % front 2 windows.
-BMW parts mesh window screens for all rear windows - both passenger windows, cargo area sides, and hatch. Combined with the tint, the layering these create is pretty slick because you can see out just fine but the layering effect makes it impossible to see in even of you cover an area with your face right up against a window.
-Weathertech rain awning thingys. Nice for rear windows because you can leave them open 2" for heat venting but not worry about rain and the windows don't look obviously open to people waling by.
-BMW rubber mats and cargo mat
-front seats BMW seat covers in black. Looks pretty good matching the black accents in the car.
-the factory sport wheels have Nokian Hakkapilletta R2 serious winter tires in Run Flat, and like mentioned above, all 5.
-Poly sway bar bushings recently, 2nd set. (purple I think and I may actually have another set)
-M5 level 3 point adjustable sway bars (can get specs and brand)
For the full size spare, don't get your hopes up, I did not get it to fit under the floor but I did have a top area body shop asses how to modify the body tub near rear axle to allow the spare to fit. I use a heavy duty ratchet strap to snug it vertically against the driver side cargo wall but you could opt to have it flat. With it vertical, two ski duffels can still fit side by side in the cargo floor or a dog, etc.
It has been serviced only at BMW dealers: Raleigh NC where purchased, was a lease return by Dr. with low miles, Seattle WA, then a couple times at other ones on long road trips like in KC and PA where I visited friends and it was due for something.
At some point before 100k the HPFP was also replaced. Several things were actually, the usual items so it was nice to have the cpo and most things covered.
Above and beyond: Recently I paid a ton to have a moisture issue figured out. Turned out to be a "vapor barrier" inside the door. Was causing a condensation thing onto the driver side carpet so I had them also replace all 4 doors at the same time! At that time there was also an odd battery drain which was traced to the right rear side door handle and something about the touch entry but the unit was replaced and no issues since.
New brakes not too long ago, brake fluid flush, oil change, some other basics that came up. Most records since buying will be from Seattle BMW with a few at Leith in north Raleigh NC because I spend time in both places. In fact the mileage is mostly highway. I don't "commute" as I have a home office so the start-stop is pretty low compared to a daily type car.
I can't think of anything else right now. This is an "enthusiast car" owned by a lover of the brand. Had 2 other BMW's previously. E91 mt6 and a Z4 M roadster
I'll get some photos up soon. Some will be detail for obvious reasons while others will be just for "isn't it sexy?"
Located in Tacoma WA, asking $12,000 due to the extras. Could include a cargo box.

It's traction is really quite good too. We have a 2008 S4 Audi avant mt6 but I actually prefer taking the BMW for trips due to all aspects other than the S4 growl and handling. The BMW is way better for long trips.
I have a land rover lr3 set up for camping so the past couple years it's become the choice for taking lots of gear though. That's the main reason for selling other than I have another 2004 land rover and the audi so need to divert my capital LOL

Beautiful car, but you elaborate on multi-zone heated seats? Mine just turns them on for both back and butt, and you can increase/decrease intensity. Is there something I'm missing?

Yes, your E60/61 should have in the idrive a zonal thing where you can use the dial to shift the heat up to down and not just on/off for the butt or back but a multi-step deal. Mine allows incremental change from 100% butt to 100% back with zero % on either at same time. It may be one step or two within the climate settings though.
