the tranny issue was actually the flywheel, it just had to be replaced so I am getting my car back on tuesday. The accident was clean and done by my supervision only right shock, and bumper were changed. Nothing more really... if you are not interested I will keep drive it a bit more, I miss my car already. Got my rent car from bmw a 2009 323i, cute car, but I might trade in for an e92 M3.

I bought my 06 530i last November in Toronto for $26K. Still had factory warranty on it to work out some of the minor bugs. I've heard that the 525's are a bit underpowered and that will only be made worse by the weight and extra drag from the X drive system. I bought a set used BMW factory alloys (for $250) and installed Conti snow tires (I do this for every car I intend to use in the winter - I live in Calgary). I have had a couple of opportunities to drive the car in snow with the summer tires (also Continentals) on it and found it to handle and perform well. With the snows the car is unstoppable. I'm not a big fan of AWD  as I feel the benefits (extra traction that you use less than 1% of the time) are far outweighed by the disadvantages (extra weight and mechanical complexity, poorer gas mileage). I used to lived in and around Toronto for years and question the need for AWD.
On the upside these are beautiful cars - lots of fun to drive.
FWIW.
Good luck.

Dude we need way more info! That price seems really high! How many miles, what options the car has, and so on!
