I wish you the best of luck with your sale but I think you're a little unrealistic to think you'll be able to get $14.5k for a 12-year-old car, despite the low miles and pristine condition. If it were a 6MT ("unicorn"), you might be able to get $10,000. Let us know how it goes.

Always open to offers and will re-evaluate asking price as time goes by if i'm not seeing interest. Will be seeing what Carmax will buy it for next week. That will probably give me a feel for any needed adjustment to my initial asking price. At least if they come with a decent offer I i can get a prorated return of the warranty for cancelling it.

I'm not sure Carmax will give you what a BMW enthusiast might pay. Have you also posted on Autotrader and Cars.com?

Done deal for 12,900. Guy flew in from Santa Cruz on saturday for the transaction. Just goes to show, a great condition car with ultra low miles and an available warranty trumps what some would consider to be no longer desirable even to the 'enthusiast' crowd. I wouldn't rush out trying to sell a heavily modded, 150K+ mile car...they just don't compare to what i had up. those will get the 6-7k lowballers to come out of the woodwork.
