Sure.

you take a C6 and you give it some ported L92 heads + cam and exhaust, then you add the magnacharger that takes care off the power. the 205mph is gearing and downforce the the T56 trans has 6th at .82 or something and i doubt they're going into sixth on the top speed run if they are they're rear gearing is around 3.90ish with stock trans ratios. As far as downforce I m sure you can get the body parts needed from chevy or aftermarket I forgot the main builder of them. Google MTI and check out what they build Also Texas speed and performance. LS1tech has lots of info

So say around 40K ish plus the cost of car.

the 11.3@131 is with the car spinning it tires thru 2 gears probably cause the supercar tires that they have are useless when drag racing. have a quicker time and broken diff with drag radials
I see. As I suspected. You have nothing to offer, other than modifications to an older base vehicle.

There's very little out there that will match the ZR-1 when you compare stock with stock, which is a far more appropriate comparison. Reportedly, GM engineers hit 208mph on one series of tests. The ZR-1 does indeed hit its top speed in top gear, by the way. Its gearing is specific to the ZR1. The C6 'vettes, of course, do hit it in 5th as you say.

+1. Comparing a used car w/mods is not a fair comparison.

Look, you can buy this '87 Camaro for about $2500, and then drop in a crate engine from Summit for about $12k

and end up with 620 horsepower for less than $15k.

Can anyone render a guess on the Vehicle the ZR-1 was based off? It has a Z in it.

Thats a Fbody thats a whole other set of problems, At least have sense to put the 98-02 models that had LS motors in them. The ZO6 and ZR1 have the LS stroked 427 in them not a gm performance 572 carbed motor

Perhaps, Captain Obvious, you'd care to enlighten us as I'm sure none of us have the first idea...

I love when you get the modded car answers. Always a good chuckle.

He also forgot some major things, like carbon-ceramic brakes. Very very expensive.

Edmunds:
"Juechter says, "The only vehicle I know of that has these brakes as standard equipment is the 1,000-hp Bugatti Veyron." Then he adds with a grin, "Although I think you can get them as a $20,000 option on the Ferrari 599."
