They were saying that it can do a sustained 1.04G - I like the HUD with the g-meter in it. It got as high as an indicated 1.27g! I liked that quote, "giving this car to Corvette owners is like giving an AK-47 to the psych ward" |

I don't remember one shot of the interior, other than the HUD shot and the camera looking at the guy driving. Car is very impressive and a great bang for your buck, but a BMW it isn't. :nono: Of course, BMW is not the same type of car, or what Chevy is shooting for. Look out Ferrari and Porsche. I was impressed about them being able to talk and we could hear them at 145mph. Most of the Vette's I have been in are pretty loud at high speeds. That is what I notice most about the 545i. At high speed, you can still have a normal conversation with your passenger. This is the best Vette yet! Regards, Mike. |

And, I loved the AK-47 comment. |

My Z06 is pretty loud at speed unless I am on rubberized asphalt. As on the old Z06, Chevrolet has done everything reasonably possible, given the car's price target, to keep it light--including using less sound insullation than on the lesser Vetts. The regular C5s and C6s are quieter in general. The really loud ones have after-market exhausts. Some like to wake the dead. |
