Seems like Touareq2 is not welcome here...
I believe Range Rover and Cayenne is still the best among all SUV's based on the statements above.
Anybody has a touareq here?

The problem with this thread is that there was no criteria for basis for discussion(other than looks ie Yoko), my points are based on 100% on road driving. I've driven all the cars and still stand by my point, if we add value I would discount the Turbo Cayenne to #2.IMHO
Many Cheers

No way the X5 drives better than the Cayenne, I too have driven both. Cayenne is way better on and off road.
I'd take a 08 Cayenne S over a 08 X5 4.8 easily. No question.

Did you buy one? With $80K on the line I can assure you that I bought the right one, V8 Sport vs S, BMW is better, and off road in a Cayenne ???
Have a good day and Cheers

I really like the X5, but I also feel the Cayenne is a better SUV - both on and offroad.

Had a T-reg back in 2004. Very nice car, now and then. Had a V8, Offroad Gray with Brown comfort seats and the nice air-suspension. I would pick it over the old X5, not over the new. The reason we sold it was the extremly bad milage and that I got an extremly good trade in for a brand new 530d Touring. Also it had some electronical glitches since it was a early model.

Cayenne S has more hp and more torque than the X5 4.8. Plus it flat out just drives better on and off road.
cheers
Class leaders (In my opinion, 08 models)
Sports Utility- Porsche Cayenne
Large/Full size- Mercedes S-class
Mid Size- BMW 5 series
Small/Compact- BMW 3 series
Sports Car- Endless possibilities (Leaning towards 911)

Yes many owners wouldn't dare take their Cayenne off road. But all Cayenne models benefit from some of the most advanced off-road technology, they are very capable vehicles off road. X5 may be able to handle a dirt/gravel road, but thats just about it.

Hey I appreciate both opinions and always value both of your inputs to this forum, so lets agree to disagree on this one and move on. I am starting to look around for a new SUV so I will give the Cayenne a closer look .
Many Cheers !!

True. Yes, no other car drives or feels like a bimmer, but speaking from experience, I'd bet the Dub will spend less time at the shop!
