I've owned 8 different Mustangs over the years (Saleen, Cobras and GTs) but damn this is tempting and will probably buy this instead of the M3.

I too love Mustangs and owned a 1990 Mustang LX 5.0 for many years.

The dyno result of the GT500 is amazing. 570 bhp at the crank. Wow!!

But let's face it. The GT500 is not a competitor to the M3. The GT500 is a muscle car with huge power but only so-so handling -- live rear axle and all. The M3 is a sports coupe (or sedan). Its zero to sixty time still beats the GT500 in tests if I'm not mistaken and, in terms of handling, it simply runs circles around the GT 500.

It all depends on what you want. For in your face power and muscle, the GT 500 wins hands down. For refinementand handling, the M3 whips the GT 500's rear end.

Take your pick El. You can't go wrong either way.

Emotion tells me to go back to brute power!

My F250 makes 600rwhp and close 1000rwtq but it doesn't handle...the Shelby with some mods would be fun.

+1 on that. I have never owned/leased a car that I thought was powerful enough.
