Take a look at the Porsche Sport Exhaust if you can (it's awesome), and think about the Sport Chrono option (remaps the throttle etc). I didn't get either on mine but probably would next time.

My buddy a few years back traded in his M3 for a 911 (996) and he has never looked back. Now he is driving the 997 model and he couldn't be any happier. Porsche really addressed the one problem I had with the 911, which was the poor interior. Now the inside is superb.

The interior in the AM is amazing, really... It is also a nice car to cruise, under 4000 rpm the car is very silent...but above 4000 rpm it sounds like a true sportscar!!!
The R8 is more agressive, faster, and really amazing looking with the permanent LED's in the front...
It is going to be one of those or the Porsche should be amazing good...

Doesnt Aston have reliability problems. Have heard and read bad things about them, I remember hearing about a lot of gear box issues.
I'd have to admit though, the AM's are beautiful cars.

Isn't the wait list for the R8 something like 3 years? Unbelievable... it's an awesome car though, one of the Dad's at my son's school has one. Don't know him well enough to ask for a go in it... yet
