Thanks for all the congrats.

It's quite a lot of fun to drive. Unfortunately, we'll be going on a 2week vacation today. This is one vacation that I'll be looking forward to coming home !!!

Friends and family have offered to look after the SLK when we're gone !

im really surprised you didnt wait for the 461bhp SLK 63 AMG due early next year
I only put about 120km before I went on vacation. The SLK puts a bigger grin on my face then the 545. The 7 speed autobox is very quick and it's in comfort mode for the first 1000miles.

The SLK63 will likely come out in MY08 but I figured 355hp is plenty for such a small car. I dont want to get into too much trouble too quickly. When I test drove the press car, with traction control on, I could hang the tail out quite easily I must say AMG's is alot more 'forgiving' when it comes to traction contrl than the 545.

i do agree with you. but i have always been interested in straight line acceleration, and lets face it, its what amgs are best at

Are you sure they will build such a monster?? Don't they afraid it will steal even more customers from the SL??
