The SUVs rake in money for the companies to develop better sports sedans. I think there's nothing wrong with that. Only when consumers finally decide SUVs are really not that necessary will we see changes.
I think the Panamera will be very attractive - great performance with practical 4 seats, no doubt BMW will need to accelerate the development of the CS.

Have you seen the Panamera photos? Ugh! That's one fugly car. Like the 5th Gear guy said, I'll need a "taste bypass" first. Besides, Porsche charges a bazillion bucks for every option. By the time you check all the boxes, you've added 20-30k to the sticker. Porsche loves being the most profitable car company in the world on a per car basis. They can't have my money though. Then there's the whole image problem of driving a car made by a truck company... shudder.

Typical X5 4.8's with popular options range from 63k+. I was looking at the Cayenne S and researched the GTS. In the end I got the 4.8, I think it takes the cayenne S/GTS in terms of value, options, and tech goodies. GTS pricing comes so close to the turbo it just doesnt make sense to me.
