The exterior pics look pretty nice. Of course GM stole some design cues from BMW and Audi, but you can still see a good chunk of that Pontiac look.
Don't know anything about pricing, but for way less than a Euro import its probably worth a look

My Ride: 2008 BMW 550i
2006 BMW X3
Motor Trend really likes the G8. It seems just a few ticks slower than the 550i with handling not far off either. A test drive would be necessary to comare the driving experience, interior materials, and build quality. I suspect the 550i would still be superior in those areas. I didn't know about the missing Nav option, a major short coming in todays market.

My Ride: I have a 2007 Black Sapphire BMW 530i with SMG. It has the auburn interior, has PDC, Sports Package, Premium Package, rear automatic sunshades with manual side sunshades, 35% black tint, Upgraded angeleyes from Angelibrights, and Logic 7 Sound System
Model Year: 2007
Yea, just saw it on Motorweek today and noticed that they do not office navi...they might want to start. Also, I like GM's cylinder deactivation system, but it still gets only 15mpg in the city, which is horrible for a car that size. I think they were trying to compare it to the e60 in terms of handling and the styling cues are audish to me, lol.

My Ride: 2009 DINAN 135 convertible
The wheels on the GT in the commercial are a total rip off of the 138s.
I saw a print ad for on that said something like "faster than a BMW 550 but only half the cost." Yeah, right, in Pontiac's dreams does it share a target market with the 550.

According to the edmunds review, they pretty much copied the 5 series suspension. It matched the 535i handling numbers they recently tested.
They are headed in the right direction, I will at least give them that.
Edmunds review:
"Fast, nimble and comfortable, and an awesome value besides; Pontiac builds the poor man's 5 Series."
"And when the road turns, things get even better. All G8s, V6- or V8-powered, get the same suspension tuning. GM calls the setup FE2, and it delivers a ride and handling compromise that falls just short of perfect."

My Ride: 2014 M5 CP
I drove a G8 GT this past weekend at the Atlanta Car show. The acceleration seemed a bit slow. It did ride a little smoother than my 550i but it had 18's compared to my 19's. The G8 is a nice car but I couldn't choose it over my 550i.
