My brother in law just ordered an E320 2005 with AMG package, he told me yesterday that MB is no longer accomodating its customers with the free maintenance :o for 4yrs/50k like BMW does.
Is this also true with the BMW for the future? :(

i happened to find out this info the same day mbusa faxes to all the dealers. that's one of the reasons why i didn't get a clk . i asked the same question to bmw but the sales advisor told me it won't happen for bmw. but you have to understand, he is a sales advisor and trying to sell me a car on that day . if eventually bmw change the game plan, not much we can do :(.

Well, I love BMW but if BMW decides not to have the free maintenance they will probalbly loose customers. I know many of the E60 owners are leasing for the term of the maintenance and trading their cars in and this also goes for the other BMW models.

yes its true, and it will hurt them <_< , but understand that MBs coverage was never like BMW's full maintenance...I also have a MY02 C240 and the only things the maint covered was scheduled stuff like oil changes...they didnt cover brakes or anything like BMW

its such a stupid marketing decision as they are still offering it but for a fee now....the simple thing for MB to have done was to bump up the price of the cars by the amount they are going to charge and just include it standard....

No one would have questioned a $1500-2000 price increase, but the negative publicity will cost them customers :wow:

The same changes aside from MB is also taking effect for new Audi's. Apparently, they have had so much service that it's no profitable anymore. Either MB and AUdi drivers are winers or BMW just made a better business move.

mb cut this program simply because daimler chrysler is losing big money on mitsubishi. they have to do whatever they can to stop the bleed.

MB lost your business because a couple of oil change? I'm sorry but I have to LOL

Buy what you like without taking into consideration a couple of free oil change.

Daimler-Chrysler owns mitsu? Jeez.

Chrysler owned a major portion of Mits. when it was bought by the Germans. Mits, came with Chrysler.
