Audi RS4 Cabriolet, With this much power I can't help but think the handling will be terrible, however Audi have said they have revised the suspension and stiffness as necessesary.

And the RS4 Avant, with added weight over the rear axle could this be a more natural handling car than the saloon?

Well the rs4 is a brand new model so if Audi are doing ANYTHING right it should be better (at least in some ways) than an e46 M3.

Equally BMW will almost certainly be looking to trounce the rs4 with the new e90 based M3.

Since both models will have similar v8 engines they will be very close rivals indeed.

For me the key attributes of a BMW are the rear wheel drive and the dynamics especially the level of 'feel'. By contrast the A4 is 'numb'.

The RS4 will be a fine car, but it will be heavier cause of the quattro system. I think it will fill a niche, but I don't think it would seriously tempt me away from an M3 - even though I am not a fan of the e90.

I also find audi dealers pretty annoying (having visited a few for test drives) - they just seem to try TOO hard.

I just can't get past that ugly front on the new Audi (every model now). They had decent lines and looks before but they have botched them (at least the front) up in their latest renditions.

I could live with my wife?s decision on this model but no more. I'll have to force her into an E92 cabrio hopefully an M

cobradav,
I agree. It's been hard to warm up to this Nuvolari grill.

But take a closer look at pictures of the A4. See where the front plate goes? If I owned an RS4 I would lose the front plate and paint that section to the body color. It would make a big difference, in my opinion.

Yea, I suppose you could do that, but I have a hard time getting up the guts to modify OEM body in hopes of making it right. OTH, my wife will be decision maker so I'll just ride it out. Of course I'll show her the new Jag, now that they appear to have their top worked out to her specs (one touch button only up or down, completely hides under an automatic tonneau cover). I think the timing will be about when the new 3 series Cabrio will be available so should be a good selection (BMW 3, 6, Audi, Jag - no MB have ever caught her eye- what a good lady ). She keeps telling me how the Audi has a feminine rear end so it is appropriate for her

I agree, Audi know what they are doing with their new design, if anything it's not radical enough to keep up with BMW though.

This time around I gave serious thought to an a4 or a6, but I can't get past the lack of rwd.
